Is there parking at EMP|SFM?
Yes, there are pay lots available directly across from the museum. These large outdoor lots can accommodate vehicles of most any size, including motorbikes and RV/Campers. For a map, please click here.

There is metered parking available on the side streets across 5th Ave N. but please be mindful to read the posted signage as there are restrictions. For a map, please click here.

Can I take public transportation to EMP|SFM?

Museum tickets are available in advance through our Box Office at 206.770.2702.

Can I walk up and purchase tickets to EMP|SFM?
You certainly can! And if a particular exhibition has already reached capacity, you can reserve your space for later in the day and we welcome you to enjoy the rest of the museum's galleries in the meantime. Combination rates are available so you can get the most out of your time with us!

How long should I expect to spend at EMP|SFM?
This really depends on your pace. While there's certainly enough in each museum to keep you busy all day, allocate at least a few hours!

Can groups visit EMP|SFM?

Can I be dropped off at EMP|SFM?
The turnaround at 5th Avenue North and Harrison is a convenient place to be dropped off. You'll find the group entrance there which will lead you right to the ticketing area. Be mindful not to park in the turnaround, however, as it is a fire lane and you will be towed! For a map, please click here.

Are pets allowed at EMP|SFM?
No. Pets are not allowed anywhere within the complex. Service animals, however, are permitted and should be checked in at the Information Desk in the lower lobby.

Is photography allowed in the EMP|SFM galleries?
Photography is allowed in the museum, however flash photography is not allowed. Any commercial or other unauthorized use of any transmission, picture, film/type, writing, drawing, or other depiction or description of any Experience Music Project or Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame name, mark or logo is prohibited without prior specific written approval from the EMP|SFM PR department. EMP|SFM may photograph, film or videotape visitors for educational and promotional purposes. Use of a ticket is implied consent for the use of the holder's likeness, voice, or video image for marketing purposes.

Yes. EMP|SFM offer complimentary bag and coat check for museum guests.

Can I bring food or drink into EMP|SFM?
Food and drink are prohibited in all gallery spaces. They are permitted in the public areas (such as the ticketing lobby or the retail store).
