Gelatine Lux Opening Day and Family Day
Details
EMP|SFM is proud to present the West Coast premiere of an otherworldly exhibition by noted glass artist Maria Grazia Rosin. Organized by the Carnegie Museum of Art, this immersive installation features a series of glass curtains that vaguely encase 20 illuminated glass sculptures in bold colors. Rosin's suspended sculptures evoke marine and microscopic life forms in a mysterious intra/extraterrestrial cosmos, enveloping and disorienting the viewer and raising questions about the origins of the world.
As part of opening day events, drop by The Rec Room for a family-friendly art activity inspired by Gelatine Lux from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Gelatine Lux is sponsored by The Boeing Company with additional support by Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass.
