EMP|SFM, in collaboration with Earshot Jazz, proudly present Jazz in January 2009.

Join us for an evening with some of Seattle's greatest young jazz talent. For more than 35 years the Roosevelt Jazz Program has engaged high school students in the artistry of jazz. First under the direction of Waldo King and now Scott Brown, the Roosevelt Jazz Program has matured into one of the nation's most accomplished programs. The Garfield Jazz Ensemble has won every major competition on the West Coast. In 2006, the Ensemble was named the "Outstanding Festival Band" at the prestigious Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival for an unprecedented seventh time.
