Stockpiling Star Wars: Inside Gus and Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles
Details
Are you a Star Wars collector, a fan of the films, or even just intrigued by the phenomenon of Star Wars culture? Then join co-authors Gus Lopez and Duncan Jenkins for an inside look into the challenges, hilarity and rewards involved in collecting Star Wars memorabilia

After five years of research, Gus Lopez and Duncan Jenkins have created Gus and Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles, the largest Star Wars collectibles guide ever assembled, covering every Star Wars item from 1977. In its nearly one thousand pages, this international guide covers over 75,000 unique Star Wars items from over a hundred different countries. During this event, Duncan and Gus will share their experiences documenting every known Star Wars collectible and recall some of their adventures tracking down memorabilia from all over the globe. This presentation will include highlights from Gus and Duncan's private collections and show some of the more unusual and humorous Star Wars collectibles that have been produced over the years, from Star Wars airline barf bags to dog food from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Duncan Jenkins started collecting Star Wars in the summer of 1977 and created his first “database” of Star Wars items at the same time. As one of the last remaining completists, he has amassed one of the largest private collections of Star Wars memorabilia in the world. Duncan has shared his extensive knowledge of collecting in presentations at all four US Star Wars Celebrations, Celebration Europe, Celebration Japan and at various conventions throughout the world. He is an editor for The Star Wars Collector’s Archive (theswca.com) and contributor to numerous magazine articles, books and TV/radio programs. Duncan is co-author of Gus and Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles.

Gus Lopez is a longtime Star Wars collector whose collecting interests center around obscure and rare Star Wars items including movie props, unproduced toys, cereal boxes, cast and crew items, and awards. Gus has written many articles on Star Wars collecting for various publications including Star Wars Insider, Lee’s Toy Review, Toy Shop and Star Wars Galaxy Collector. Gus created The Star Wars Collector’s Archive (theswca.com) in 1994—the first Star Wars collecting website on the Internet. Gus ran the Star Wars collecting programs for the four Star Wars Celebration events in the US, Celebration Europe in the UK and Celebration Japan. Gus is co-author of Gus and Duncan's Comprehensive Guide to Star Wars Collectibles.
