Take a journey of artistic exploration and self-discovery over your spring or summer break. At Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame, several unique programs have been designed to accommodate campers' varying ages, skill levels and interests. Campers receive support for their artistic passions and are encouraged to imagine new possibilities for their talents. It's an experience that will last a lifetime!
Spring Break Camp 2010 Presents: Rock Band Teen Artist Workshop
For students in 7th through 10th grade
If rock is your passion, then spend your spring break as part of a killer rock band! In this Teen Artist Workshop, you will rehearse cover songs, work with your peers to create original works, and learn what it takes to be a part of a successful band. Your instructor will help you expand your musical repertoire, strengthen your skills on your instrument and encourage you try out new instruments. The workshop concludes with a live rock concert in JBL Theater.
At least 6 months experience on your instrument is recommended for this workshop.

Instructor: Jason Parker
Jason Parker has taught music in various capacities, including private lessons, workshops, master classes, and for Arts Corps. Parker is a working musician and plays trumpet, flugelhorn, guitar and bass in several local bands. He currently leads the Jason Parker Quartet, one of Seattle's busiest jazz bands, and occasionally sits in with Crooked Fingers and DeVotchKa, among others.
