Jazz in January

EMP|SFM, in collaboration with Earshot Jazz, proudly presented Jazz in January 2009, January 9 and 10 at EMP|SFM. Performances included the Garfield Jazz Ensemble and Roosevelt Jazz Bad with local guests, international legend, percussionist Han Bennink, local multi-instrumentalist Paul Rucker (awarded "Outside Ensemble of the Year of 2008" by Earshot Jazz Awards) and trumpet sensation, Cuong Vu with his band. The jazz artists represented this year blend international flavor and a combination of traditional and new sounds with local appeal.
